3/20/2023 0 Comments Monster crown monster listThis really ramps up the challenge in this game since items can be very hard to come by in this game, and it really all boils down to luck whether or not you stumble upon some free loot while training your monster in the wild. usually battles against important characters or monsters. Another crucial difference that every player should know is that in Monster Crown, you will lose everything you’ve collected in your inventory, though not the cash you own, when you lose a battle, and sometimes, you can’t flee from a battle. This isn’t a unique system per se since there are other monster-taming games that have this exact same system, but it’s still an important difference that a player might want to know about the game. You’ll also get to bring twice as many monsters into battle in Monster Crown than a usual Pokemon game. It’s all about balancing the pros and cons of capitalizing on this monster synergy system and figure out how it can best work for your playstyle. Every time you switch monsters, your opponent’s monster will get to attack your newly-released monster first if an attack action is chosen. This system is truly unique and adds a whole new level of combat strategy to the gameplay, but of course, switching out mons during battle isn’t cost-free. Having synergy will also increase the typing coverage of a certain skill, allowing that one skill to be able to perfectly counter another monster type in addition to the existing one. Every bar you get will bolster your monster’s attack power, more so if you managed to get all 4 filled. How does it work? Well, by switching out your mons, you’ll gain a bar of synergy and you can accumulate these bars up to 4. However, the game added in a Monster Synergy system. It has the same “paper-scissors-stone”-style counters where certain types of monsters or skills will deal more effective damage against another specific type of monster. In Monster Crown, you’ll battle monsters as you do in any monster-taming games. One of the earliest differences you’ll notice is the combat. Now, despite the similarities, there are some markedly different features between the two games. The game features “legendaries” which I assume you can attempt to catch, along with boss-like NPC-vs-player battles as well. It can get a bit grindy, like most monster-taming games, though. It’s also important to train your monsters so that they are strong enough to take on tougher monsters in newer zones. though, you’ll be using Pacts rather than Pokeballs. So, this means that you’ll need to travel to different zones where there are different monsters to catch and tame. The game is obviously designed not to only pay homage to the game that has given rise to a whole new monster-taming genre, but it is also designed so that fans of the latter can easily dive into this game and just get started. Of course, like every other new tamer out there, you’ll want to strive to become the “very best like no one ever was”! Gameplay If you’ve played any Pokemon game before, you should be able to hop right into Monster Crown. Plotline Similar to Pokemon, you play as a 14-year-old boy or girl who is just embarking on their monster-taming journey with their very first starter Pokemon which they’ve gotten by filling up some questionnaire at the back of some comic book and mailing it in. Monster Crown may still be a work-in-progress, but the game already looks and feels good, despite the hardcore elements, and it also plays well enough. Summary There are plenty of Pokemon-like monster-taming games out there but none of them are as challenging as Monster Crown! The game features a unique synergy-based gameplay mechanism that adds a whole new level to monster battles, plus losing everything you have with you when you lost a battle makes it a whole lot costlier to lose fights. We will be updating this review once the game is launched.
